What is a dilution brow exactly?
Dilution brows are created by diluting pigment which will give your client a softer, more powdery look while only using one pigment. This technique will create a brow that will be more solid or less solid in certain areas to give that ombre transition from dark to light. .
What are the benefits of dilution brows?
By using the dilution ombre brow techniques you can control very precisely how saturated an ombre brow will heal! For example, if you use 100% and no dilution that brow will heal to a striking eyebrow style, more saturated, like a pencil makeup fill. On the flip side of that if you dilute the pigment down say 50% the brow will heal 50% softer and it will resemble more of a smudged pencil or powder makeup heal. Using dilution gives you as an artist so much control! Plus, did you know diluting a pigment down, won't cause the brow to fade quicker. You are still implanting just as much pigment but just a softer version of that pigment. Think of black and grey traditional tattooing :)
When using dilution techniques, you can expect the brow to last 2-4 years for most.
One thing to keep in mind when working with dilution is that it does warm up the pigment some so if you are diluting the pigment down 75% you do not need to add any modifier to your pigment like you do if/when you are doing a more striking fill and working with full strength pigment.
